This followed on from his previous undergraduate degree in Human Musculoskeletal Science at the University of Bristol. He has worked in four very well established clinics in Dorset, Hampshire and Beeston, Nottingham before moving back home to Derby and setting up Duffield Chiropractic Clinic.

‘Our practice is broad based, and we use a combination of techniques best suited to an individual to help their problem.’

Andrew became interested in Chiropractic after having successful treatment for low back pain as a teenager, and through his personal story can appreciate how important it is to manage spinal problems. As such he aims to get people better as quickly as possible, but also emphasises finding out why these problems occur in the first place, in order to maximise recovery, prevent re-occurrences, and improve people’s overall quality of health and life.

Favourite sayings:

“The best treatment is whatever the patient needs most”

“Remember, every back has a front!”

Zayn Nasir

MChiro DC (Doctor of Chiropractic)

  • Associate Chiropractor
  • Member of the BCA
  • GCC registered

Zayn graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire, gaining a Masters degree in Chiropractic.

Zayn’s interest in Chiropractic was sparked when he was in college, he had suffered from shin splints for 2 years and struggled to walk without the use of compression socks. This hindered much of his sports as ordinarily he enjoys football, basketball, tennis and squash. Eventually he was treated by a Chiropractor and instantly felt such benefit and relief.

‘With my sporting background, and subsequent injuries, I believe this has given me a great appreciation for the joy of staying in optimal health – as well as sparking my ongoing interest in biomechanical function for sport and general activity.’

You’ll be in safe hands with Zayn as he also used to be goalkeeper for Birmingham City FC!

Helen Vardy

Sports Massage Therapist

  • Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy
  • Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists

With climbing, mountaineering and paddle sports in her list of passions since she was a teenager, Helen experienced some of the aches, pains and stresses that these activities can have on your body from time to time!

She developed an interest in massage to relieve the muscle tension associated with regular physical activity. Initially this interest took a back seat whilst she worked as an outdoor education instructor and coach – then Helen undertook a massage course whilst travelling in India.

She has since followed this up with formal Level 3 and 4 Diplomas in Sports massage therapy and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)

“Having a physically demanding job, and more recently becoming a parent has made me appreciate the importance of looking after your body if you want to perform at your best. I have experienced first hand how regular massage can have a positive impact on your performance, posture and mental well-being.

My aim is to help you to be at your best and most comfortable during, and after the sports or activities you’re passionate about and in everyday life.”

Louise Archer

Louise joined us in 2024, she is a busy mum to three teenagers & an active dog! She’s always been fit and active, is a keen runner and loves to weight train, whether it be on gym floor, or strength based classes. She likes the variety and is very outdoorsy, enjoying long walks in the peaks with her dog.

Her patients definitely see the benefit of regular sports massage for a variety of reasons.
